The Wireless Planning & Coordination (WPC) Wing regulates radio-frequency use in India. Devices using de-licensed bands — Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID and similar — need an Equipment Type Approval (ETA) before import or sale. Approval is granted per device model against test reports.
