If it won’t fit a standard container or move on a normal truck, it’s project cargo — and it needs engineering, not just booking. The four terms you’ll hear:
ODC — Over-Dimensional Cargo
- Exceeds the normal size limits for road or rail movement.
- OOG — Out-of-Gauge

What’s the difference between ODC, OOG and breakbulk?
ODC (over-dimensional cargo) exceeds normal road/rail size limits; OOG (out-of-gauge) is too big for a standard container and rides on flat-rack or open-top; breakbulk is loaded piece-by-piece onto a vessel rather than in containers. Many project moves involve all three.
